Our Story
A family recipe
decades in the making.
At Olive & Dough
Food isn't just something
we serve.
It's part of our family story.
We are a family-owned and locally operated restaurant built on over 30 years of hands-on restaurant experience. Three generations of customers, two states, and one unwavering belief: that generous food and genuine hospitality are never out of style.
Where It Begins
Aigio, Greece.
Where we come from.
Our story begins in Aigio, Greece — a small coastal city on the Gulf of Corinth, where we grew up surrounded by fresh ingredients, home cooking, and the belief that the best meals are simple, honest, and meant to be shared with the people you love.
The olive groves, the open tables, the way food brought neighbors together without ceremony or pretense — that was normal life growing up. It shaped how we think about cooking, about portions, about what a restaurant should feel like when you walk through the door.
"The best meals are simple, honest, and meant to be shared with the people you love."— A tradition that has guided everything we do
The First Chapter
Georgia's Restaurant
& Pizza, Amston CT.
Our restaurant journey began in Connecticut, where we opened Georgia's Restaurant & Pizza in Amston. For years, we built something we're genuinely proud of — a place where generations of customers came to know us for homemade food, generous portions, and the kind of hospitality that makes people come back.
That restaurant was more than a business. It was where we learned what it means to be part of a community — where regulars became friends, where families celebrated, where the same faces came back year after year because the food and the welcome were always consistent.
Those 30-plus years of experience — the long nights, the recipes we refined, the relationships we built — are the foundation that Olive & Dough stands on today.
Today
Lakewood Ranch.
The next chapter.
Today, we proudly bring those same flavors, recipes, and traditions to Lakewood Ranch, Florida through Olive & Dough. New community, same commitment. The homemade tomato sauce, the hand-stretched dough, the generous plates — nothing has changed except the address.
We opened here because we believe Lakewood Ranch deserves a restaurant that feels like it belongs to the neighborhood — not a chain, not a franchise, but a place run by real people who care deeply about what they put on the table.
That tradition — the one that started around a table in Greece, grew through years in Connecticut, and lives on here in Florida — continues to guide everything we do.
What We Stand For
The things that
don't change.
Homemade Food
Every sauce, every dough, every dish is made the way we learned growing up — from scratch, with care, without shortcuts.
Genuine Hospitality
We treat every table the way we'd treat guests in our home. It's not a policy — it's just how we were raised.
Generous Portions
You won't leave hungry. We believe in feeding people well — the way families feed each other when they gather around a table.
Come Be Part of It
The table is set.
We're glad you're here.
Come try the food that started in Greece, was perfected in Connecticut, and is now being shared with Lakewood Ranch.
